BOMB EXPLOSION AT GOVT. OFFICE IN SIRAHA Kathmandu, 30 March: A petrol bomb was exploded Friday night at the government quarters of Local Development Officer near the District Police Office in Siraha, RSS reports from Siraha. . The explosion took place at 8:00 pm at night detonated by an unknown group. The carpet in the upper floor of the quarters has been burnt from the fire after the explosion and windowpanes were broken, said Police Inspector of the District Police Office, Siraha, Raj Kumar Shahi. A nearby coconut tree was also brunt from the fire. There was no humanitarian loss as LDO Bijayaraj Subedi was in Kathmandu for some business. Nepal Police and Armed Police Force team put out the fire and security has been tightened. Locals said it exploded in few minutes of throwing some object by three unknown persons. Fire was raging when the police reached the site. Meanwhile, the Terai Communist Party has taken the responsibility of the blast. The party´s STF Commander Surendra Madhesi through the phone told media persons that it was a warning as Subedi amassed property making DDC a centre of corruption. nnnnn
