19 STUDENTS PEDALLERS ARRESTED Kathmandu, 31 Aug.: Two campus students were arrested by drugs enforcement agency Thursday for drugs pedaling using two private hostels as base of their operations. Nineteen students were arrested. Meanwhile,Kiran Acharya ,36, cargo shop owner was arrested Thursday for attempting to parcel two kg hash from General Post Office.to Russia. Nnnn HUMLA HIT HARD BY NATURAL DISASTER Kathmandu, 31 Aug.: Natural disasters in Humla district this year caused loss of property worth Rs 40 million and infrastructures, the Humla District Natural Disaster Relief Committee stated, RSS reports from Jumla . A meeting of the District Natural Disaster Relief Committee held at Humla district headquarters, Simikot, heard that 61 households were affected, two persons killed, two were missing, scores of cattle perished and many houses and large swathes of land damaged by the natural disasters that hit the district this year. The committee assessed the damage caused by the natural disasters from the reports and data it received from the police stations at different places in the district, according to Assistant Chief District Officer, Narendra Pariyar who is also the coordinator of the District Natural Disaster Relief Committee. Meanwhile, nearly 70 patients suffering from diarrhoea and pneumonia have been hospitalised here at the Humla District Hospital. nnnn
