FOUR VEHICLES DAMAGED IN ATTACKS DURING THARU STRIKE UPDATE

Kathmandu, 29 May; Four vehicles—two buses, one truck and a motor car—were vandalized in Nawalparasi durng a strike called by Tharu Kalayankari Samaj Sunday
The strike affected terai districts were the community lives in clusters, especially in the mid and far-West.
Besides demanding delisting from a government record describing Tharus as Madeshis, the community also protested what it called the ‘unilateral’ move to extend a constituent assembly by three months Saturday.
