President summons parliament 5 July

Kathmandu, 28 June: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav summoned the delayed session of the budget session of parliament 5 July.
The president made the announcement after consultations with embattled Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal Monday.
The session with be tumultuous with main opposition Maoists threatening to obstruct proceedings like last year.
The major purpose will be push the proposed Rs 350 billion annual through parliament before the beginning of the fiscal year 2010/11 17 July.

Body of slain Hindu leader lifted from Birgunj for cremation

Kathmandu, 28 June: The body of Kailash Tiwari, Chairman of Hindu Youth Federation, was lifted from Birgunj for cremation later Tuesday three days after he was shot dead.
The Federation, demanding investigation and punishment of those responsible, for blamed Maoists for the killing.
The organization also lifted a strike slapped on the town to protest the murder.
A Maoist leader has been arrested for investigation.
