New Year 2067 Wednesday

Kathmandu, 13 April: Wednesday is Nepali New Year 2067.
Two leaders of ruling parties Tuesday on new year eve asked leaders not to people by saying a constitution will be promulgated by the 28 May deadline.
Those making the calls were Dr Ram Sharan Mahat of Nepali Congress and UML leader Pradip Geywali.
Differences remain between major parties on fundamental concepts to be included in a constitution which has to promulgated to institutionalize the declaration of a republic by an unelected and self-appointed parliament.
The two-year tenure of the constituent assembly which has to promulgate a constitution ends 28 May.

Kathmandu, 13 April: The Indian embassy said the ‘politicization’ of the passport issue was ‘regrettable’.
In an obvious more to pressurize government, the embassy said work on printing passports had already started.
The supreme court Tuesday extended an interim order to government
not to implement a previous government not to print passports in India for another 13 days.
Hearings of the legality of the original government continues.
