Curfew slapped in Banepa


Kathmandu, 7 June: Local authorities Sunday afternoon slapped an curfew from Banepa to Dhulikhel along the Arniko highway after clashes between Maoists, locals and police when a situation went out of control during anti-president protests by Maoists.
Ten districts were affected by a continuing Maoist strike.
One dozen vehicles were smashed in Banepa during clashes which also broke out in Makwanpur where police fired in the air.
An Indian vehicle was smashed in Chitwan.

No breakthrough in government expansion

Kathmandu, 7 June: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal discussed his government’s 100-day programme of with top officials and asked for report from them within two days.
There was no agreement Sunday between Nepal and Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala on expansion of government and sharing of important ministries between CPN-UML and Congress..
RPP recommends has recommended Dipak Bohara as minister in the Nepal government, Chairman Pashupati SJB Rana said.
A faction of MJF has asked Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar , Sarad Singh bhandari and Ram Jamansingh Chaudhari to expelled from parliament.
The request was made to the president and Speaker Subash Nemwang.
PM Nepal has asked Forum to resolve party dispute internally.
