CPN-UML supports Beijing Olympics

By Bhola B Rana

Kathmandu, 19 May: The ongoing central committee meeting of CPN-UML Monday extended best wishes and success for the August Olympic Games.
The good wishes came one day after the committee condemned daily protests by Tibetans, some of them refugees.
But many have come from across the open border from India to participate in protests, police said.
Tibetans have surprisingly been protesting almost every day for two months mainly in front of the Chinese embassy.
American embassy has supported the protest while the Chinese embassy has condemned them asking government for a crackdown.
